Blog February 21st

For today’s Blog on February 21st, I am keeping it simple.  Yesterday, I posted about something that has been on my mind.  I have been researching bad leaders for several years now.    It took a great deal of time to research and write that post.  Now I can move on to regular tasks.

Doing reflections

I wrote my plans in a Word document.  Therefore, I have been using Word since the 1980’s when on my first IBM PC computer on a network.  I kept a word file that was like a bullet journal reflection log.  My bullet journal still is on a computer.  My reflection log has helped kept me sane in the crazy life journey I am on.  When I managed computer projects, I used Excel to create checklists for what I knew the teams had to do.  I attempted using MS Project but found the other project leaders made really unrealistic project plans with it.  Got to hate MS Project!  The key managers missed was “how much time” and doing good feedback data collection.  Also there is the human factor of not knowing how long it takes to program and test computer programs.  These were wild ass guesses.  I like how I can make my feedback and plan my goals and habits better!

I also had to face a sad fact

The fact that made me sad was my own lack of skills in social communication.  In counseling, dealing with emotions and not having certain skills causes emotional pain.  I could avoid my poor social and communication skills by not having to deal with people.  I could just deal with the computer programs and not people.  The things I enjoyed like scuba diving and cars, they took a lower place in my life.  For years I had to earn money and had little free time.

Blog February 21st – My life felt like a beached ship some times!

So I went to find out more

My first marriage ended in divorce.  This put a very big financial strain on me.  I also suffered depression from the C-PTSD of that relationship.  The counseling helped.  But, they missed the ADHD in the 1990’s.  I found this out on my own later as I got tired of dealing with the computer world and very bad management in 2011.  In 2012, I started taking ADHD medicine.  Boom, life was good again.  Now after 12 years, I am back on the medication.

Now I am at a cross road on my blog for February 21st

I do research in human biology, cell tissue culture and also spend time reading about the human brain.  The bullet journal and 12 week year plan, suggest having fun as part of your day.  So in summary, I leave you gentle readers with a fun picture.
