Work and Blogging on January 23rd

My January 23rd blog update, on Tuesday.   Today, was spent cleaning up the cluttered areas of my rooms.  I did more reading to learn more about the WordPress websites in am using.  I started making changes to them. Blocking in the time for this is important to stay on schedule and read for 30 minutes on a timer.  Afterwards, I picked up Adalyn at school.  We went to Dairy Queen and got treats.   Then we went and worked on finishing her first oil painting.  She asked me about Mardi Gras in New Orleans.  So I gave her some of the beads from when I lived in New Orleans and showed her my Mardi Gras art.

My reflections for January 23nd

I got a good amount done before I went to pick up Adalyn from school.  I showed Adalyn how to make texture in oil paints a la Vincent Van Gogh.  This was fun for me and Adalyn.

Had Time to work on tasks in my projects

Having a good road maps for my project plans.  I can now do the steps to take with each project.  The road maps shows I needed to add and subtract some projects due to time.  The common factor in the road maps is cleaning and organizing the garage and workshop areas.  So going forward this project is now high on my priority list.  So I need a larger block of time for it now.  There is now less stuff in the garage and workshop area.  It is still a mess.  It also makes it difficult to work and move around.  Tomorrow, I will be taking boxes to the kidney foundation in town.  A much needed task to clear out clutter and help organize our house.

In summary, today I feel better about getting my life organized.  I am just taking slow steps now.  Writing this blog helps me plan my projects out.  I am looking forward to Tuesday as a very productive day!  My mess is all me.  It is common for ADHD folks to develop clutter per several YouTube videos on this.  By the way, it does not help if others clean up for us.  Then we can’t find anything!

This is a good start in oil painting. The coloring is nice and it takes time to “see”. This was a follow the lines type art.
