Why I hate Ronald Reagan
I will be perfectly clear and make no mistake about it, I hate Ronald Reagan. Writing about failures of American management. Many of the issues started with this man. He gave the CEO’s the excuse to trash employee as resources. Having dived into Authoritarian dark triad leaders. With this blog post, I will go into one of the worst leaders in my opinion of the United States.
He crushed the middle class in America with his policies and laws. During his administration interest rates were high. This helped banks and burdened those of us with costly mortgages. He also before being elected caused US government employees held captive in Iran to be held longer to make the current president Jimmy Carter look bad. A pretty sucky person does that! I had several friends in that Embassy. They now have C-PTSD. There is pretty good evidence for this. Look it up it is on the internet for documented sources!
The reasons I dislike him
Lets go back in time. It started with a TV show called “Death Valley Days” and bad B movies. Death Valley Days was sponsored by 20 Mule Team Borax. He was a cheap soap pitchman for them. It was a cheap serial western TV show that had a little adventure and very little historical facts. He came on to give a few words and then say how good the product was. Not exactly a sharp tool in the advertising tool chest 20 Mule Team Borax.
He then got to be the head of the screen actors guild/union. Here he got the payment rates cut for those who did the hard work of building sets. Also he made friends with the head of the FBI J Edgar Hoover. His wife Nancy was known to give great blow jobs in support of him. He also was in a few porn films during leans times.
So how did he get there?
Reagan formally launched his own political career in the mid-1960s. Raygun set his sights and ran for governor in California. He catered to racist voters by demonstrating his hostility to African American civil rights. Thus he opposed the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
Running for governor of California in 1966, he backed the controversial Proposition 14, which had undone fair-housing protections in the state. “If an individual wants to discriminate against Negroes or others in selling or renting his house,” Reagan explained at the time, “it is his right to do so.” Sounds like Mr Piggy. Yet many current Republicans now claim to be Regan republicans. (hint, hint). This a dog whistle if ever there was one to flag them as covert racist. In the 1960’s, schools were getting integrated and I made friends with with my previous off limits American of African descent students. I realized I had been raised as a convert racist! I made friends and learned a great deal.
Becoming Governor
After getting shut down running against that filthy bastard Nixon in 1968. He decide to stay as governor of California. During this time he really messed up the education system there via support from J. Edgar Hoover. When the students protested the war in Vietnam, he zapped them and the professors and staff. Way to go Raygun, he basted the students into jail and the professors and staff out of work! A real supporter of the middle class and education.
Note – Nixon used this same tactic after Kent State!
In 1979 he ran for President
Having ruined the California economy and thus the US food and money supply, he decided to run for President. The 1970’s saw an increase in food prices due to Nixon gas crisis and poor treatment of the farm workers in California. It was called stagflation back then. All the billionaires and elite types thought Reagan running was a good idea. They got their minions to say “I support a good solid conservative like Reagan”. Yes, I heard this in 1980 where I worked! He was really good at sound bites and taking down welfare folks. He called them “Welfare Queens“. Sound like other GOP toady’s like George W. Bush, Mr Poopy pants and many other GOP toadies now.
Once in office…
He started to take out the savings and loan banks during his administration. His following VP but the nail in that trick. This hurt the middle class. Even more hurtful was interest rate adjustable loans. The interest rates were sky high and went higher. The stock market had a great crash and he screwed up social security so you got doubled taxed! This means you were taxed putting money into social security and taxed when you got SSN payments. Having children became very expensive also. Medical expenses went up yearly. Oh yes and the favorite GOP sport – wars came back into style with the Star Wars programs and more spending on the military toys. Planes and boat, failed rockets launches. Twas all there. During his time!
Summary
Therefore, I do not look back on the 1980’s with fond memories. Not a time I want to repeat. America was not great then. Yet, Von Shizinpants want to take us back to this time. So yes – I hated the Reagan years and President Raygun.
